QuoteOur Merlins, erm, Cormorants are used for SAR duties.

:P
Well when they are flying that is.  424 Squadron at Trenton went back the the CH-146 for SAR work.  That way they could send the Cormorants out west and have enough to actually fly SAR missions.

Btw, any Cormorants out East?  Gander?

Well I hope the AAC buy the EC-135 or -145, as they are only ones on that list that you can get a 1/72 kit of!!

Yup, the Cormorant is in Gander. See them all the time in St. Johns. Usually on the ground with a few engine panels removed !

It appears this helo project has grown!  Jane's has reported the aircraft are now going to be deployable, equiped with some defensive aids and some surveillence equipment.  Hence sand, desert pink, green/white wrap-round schemes etc are all up for grabs!

I'd say the EC-145's chances just improved with the US Army selecting it for the LUH program
