Runway ? ...

Mmm .

I'm not "an IPMS(UK) Committee member" and certainly not Tophe,
but if was building it I'd have to leave the tails where they are to keep the stresses out of the outer wings.
Extra control surface area would be good though as vulcans tend to run out of control authority as they run towards mach 1 so I might link them together.

Squaring the wing over the centre four engines would be cool too.

Please don't make me cut mine up.

Piccies of progress please when you get there.

Runway ? ...

A thought.

This might be a bit extreme, but if you put the rudders on the wingtips there's be room for another Vulcan on top !

Whats that then, a Mistel Vulcan / Vulcan mistel, Might be worth a doubletake or two :)

Ian the Kiwi Herder

......And the photos of this FrankenVulcan are where ?????

I like the idea of blue and yellow trim I wonder if i can put the Lufc badge on instead of roundels I could use one to bomb Risdale back to the stone age    Got one half finished now im just thinking of jazzing it up a little, just joining the two together does seem a bit simple. Anyway Im about to have a lot more time on my hands soon.

Are we being proper modellers and re-scribing the 4000 miles of panel lines on this Vulcan project?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

We did a thing on alternate Mistels a while back.  If the Vulcan were the bomb portion of the equation, would not a Hawker Hunter make a suitable piggyback aircraft, trying to keep things proportional?

Too right !
I guess the mental image of the tightest vic of Vulcans possible coloured my judgement for a moment. A dozen Olympus along a crowd line and stuff  :)

At the risk of thread drift though. Has anybody tried to rasbery ripple paint one of them. I can't find any reference to the Empire Test Pilot School, DERA etc paint scheme for a delta like that.

If Jennings has the appropriate line drawings, or someone can send them to him, I imagine a Raspberry Ripple Vulcan could be done.  He's done all sorts of Ripple schemes.

White with yellow/blue trim?

A Hunter on the top?
Obviously this would have to be "Number 6" and called Norman.
A sharkmouth for "biting yer legs?"
