Gripen X-wing

Finally got a bit of modeling time in this weekend and picked up the extra kit I needed to begin work on my Gripen X-wing  (Gripen-X) for short.

Here are some shots of the beginning stages. Note the lower set of wings have been angled down to make room for the top set of wings.







Work is going to be extremely ugly for the next two weeks (12 to 14 hr days including the weekend) so I don't know if I'll be able to sneek any time in soon or If I'll be to worn out.

This is going to be a good one. B)  And, there are 24 hrs in a day, so there's plenty of time to put in 3 or 4 hours after a nice 14 hour day. Who needs sleep, right?

DUDE!!!  That looks kinda like a Battlestar Galactica Viper in its current form!!

Yes, the 'photograph' was wonderful (see http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=6777 ), I am sure the plastic one will be great also, derserving so much work! ^_^

Oh this is looking sweeeeet. Hell, I like it the way it is with those canted wings. Comrade Anthony is right though, it DOES look like a colonial viper. This finished product should be awsome.

Thanks guys, yep it's 1/72 and yep I did the photoshop mock-up to see how it would look before I forked over the money to buy the kits...of course I probably would have bought them anyway
