Here's Canada's smaller joint service fighter (the other being the CF-18).  The Rafale M actually replaces older CF-18s in a few land based squadrons, and comprise the light fighter squadrons in the RCN.  The CF-190 is especially popular in Quebec.

All CF-190's in Canadian service are the Rafale M variant, as they are all trained to land on Canada's carriers should the need arise.  All CF-190's are also capable of carrying and launching the ASM-172A Standard Anti-Satellite Missile (see the "Scale Ordinance R' Us" thread.  This particular plane is seen at an airshow, as the standard load for an ASAT mission would consist of droptanks and the ASAT missile only.

This is a 1/72 Italeri Rafale M.  It just screamed "Je suis Canadien!!" as I was building it, and really, how can I debate such an assertion, even if it was from plastic?

I like it.  I mean, I really like it.

My favorite method of making a regular model into a What If model is by slapping either Israeli or Canadian markings on it.
Man, we should have cloned twenties. Jackson wouldn't have given a poo-poo.

Looks bloody gorgeous. Gives me an idea of what my RAF/RN versions will look like.

Good show, but about the name, the Cyclone is our next chopper...

Oi, I forgot about the CH-148.  I was going for a translation of Rafale, and "Gust" didn't do it for me.  Let's just say it was named during a meeting of the "Happy Hour Club."
