I must be a genius when it comes to 1/144 scale models when i thought up this.  ^_^

As i was cleaning off my shelves, i placed a 1/144 Harier on an old 1/700 enterprise carrier that i have been ignoring for a long time. that is when the idea hit me, "What if they developed a low-cost aircraft carrier that was easy to deploy and maintain."

i took the old "Big E" and fitted it with a scratchbuild ski-jump and a new control building. after that i painted over the deck and gave it new outlines and aircraft.
when i finished the SSAC (Small Size Aircraft Carrier) it looked rather good. it could support 2 or 3 Harriers on the deck and a small rearm platform on the front off the ship. this low cost carriers were sold to all different countries like Belgium, Norway, Israel, South Africa and Indonesia.

I painted my carrier in the markings off my verry own Syldavian Naval Forces. Its gonna be equiped with 2 SHAR Fa.3's and an EC-135asw. under the deck there should be room for 2 more harriers ans 2 EC-135's. there is still some work to be done on it (fitting of SAM and AAA defences and anti-ship misilles)

this is an aerial view of the new carrier during the test fit.

A Royal Navy SHAR frs.1 about to leave the ramp.

A Syldavian Navy EC-135asw helicopter about to rearm on the new helideck.

The Syldavian Navy also ordered 8 ex-USMC AV-8B's and upgraded them to SHAR Fa.3 with:

-New avionics
-a Bleu Vixen radar (bought from old RN SHAR fa.2's)
-Fitted with 2 MICA misilles

in the future they will be suplemented with 2 AV-8B+ or replaced with the YAK-38X (new rebuild and upgraded version) or the YAK-141 freestyle (if bouth models are to be released in the near future)
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Wow, I'd hate to try to land anything on a deck that small in a pitching, rolling ocean!  Great idea, but this is all about fun. :P
