If you replace the one radial engine with the other, most people won't see the difference.
Why not go for RR Merlins?

Now there is an idea. An RAF Merlin engined C-47 Gunship. I know I have a DC-3 in the stash. Now where can I get two cheap merlin engines.........

TomZ
The Merlin 45 series engines used on Spitfires are close in weight to an R-1830 as used on the DST-A, DC-3A, C-47A etc., DST, DC-3 and C-47 used the Wright R-1820. Note that they're similar in "bare" engine weight, the Merlin being a bit lighter but the "installed" weight of a Merlin does not include the cooling system etc. The Merlin is longer by a few inches.

Dammit!

Tease...  ;)

So disappointed he had to say it thrice!  ;D

Hey, if something's worth doing/emphasising, it's worth over-doing/emphasising...  ;D

I blame the library computer and the dwindling time before it timed-out, so a lack of chance to preview and edit...  ;)
