So this is a show that I believe is organised  by Key Publishing and covers all varieties of scale modelling including railways, static models, RC vehicles and even Scalectrix! All the big Model Railway manufacturers had a presence which allowed me to plant some ideas   (OO gauge LNER Y9 and Austin Montego for those wondering) as well as to see some of the upcoming shinies due out in the next year or so.

Anyway, here are some photos of the various displays and, you'll be all happy to note, there was a table dedicated to our craft.

Edit: Gah! Upload limits kicked in. Will try and sort out some more!

The MiGs I get - OpFor stuff & air combat training - but it was interesting seeing the BSG Viper on the end o the US Air Force SIG table. ;D

Yes - a little Easter Egg for those paying attention...

Does the 'DX' denote Duxford?

It's nice to see some of what I assume are the old ARII 1/72 Cessnas & the like.

Thanks for sharing.

Impressive dioramas.

And of course an impressive effort by the What If? SIG - two simultaneous displays 150+ miles apart.

Some great stuff there, thanks for the pic.s
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It certainly does, and they've got most of the models in exactly the same places as the real ones too, what a superb idea.

This one of Charlie's pics got my attention though.

It's a sort of Whiffed Railway Technical Centre where i worked in the 70s, complete with an APT-E being fuelled (and I also worked on the model too..... ;D ) the original Mag-Lev car in the foreground, which still exists too, a Class 17 Clayton hiding behind the water tower, one of which caught fire while I was riding in the cab!

A very nostalgic layout, I've GOT to see that for real somehow!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I think it's been in the modelling railway presses magazines in the last year or two, though I forget which one. I thought I had a pic of the other end with the LEV1, but apparently not.

Also forgot to post the twin Chippie!

I absolutely love that Wellesley on floats, great concept!
