This kit fought me every inch, and the multitude of ill fitting parts nearly got it sent to the scrapper. I did what I could be bothered with it, which is disappointing as I really liked the subject. Said aircraft is yet another captured prototype with new markings and begrudgingly flown back to Blighty by a ministry of Axis Acquisitions pilot. Because of the unusual shape and characteristics of the aircraft pilots were quite wary to fly it, but before long they got the hang of it and realised that it was in fact quite a deadly aircraft. Kit is the AZ models 1/72 scale one.

Coooer, I've never seen that one before. It looks pretty good and fits well in the Luft '46 scheme of things.

And looks great in RAF camo too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Cheers kit, the colour scheme is actually the German/kit one from the instructions.

It looks good! Is this the new boxing? I built a variant from the original release and it was OK, except for the engines, which I replaced.

Yes, it's the new one, the turbine faces didn't fit in the engine cowls so I left them out

Looks good Chris

I built the origional boxing a few years ago and it's not got any particularly bad memories. But then AZ/KP can range from delightful builds to ones you just want to chuck out the window  :banghead: , and age doesn't reflect on the ease of fit.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I know exactly where you are coming from there Chris.

Very nice. I plan to make mine with the over-and-under engine configuration from published original drawings. But please don't wait up. I think yours may be the second prototype, the P.60 V2?
Cheers.
