Avro Shackleton ASR.3

What if the Avro Shackleton MR.3 had been used as a pure Air Sea Rescue aircraft similar to the Canadian C-115 Buffalo which was also used for Search and Rescue, working with SAR helicopters.
The paramedics would have used the vacant dustbin radar hole to jump from the Shackleton to where the causality lay and perform first aid or give assistance. The Shackleton acting as a communications relay to the rescue centre and the helicopter.
 I can see the Shackleton ASR.3 being used in cleaning up oil pollution or spills and as firefighters to control grass fires around the motorways or major roads.
