Good luck! My old prof wanted to transfer to Thuds and go back for a second Nam tour after one in Rhinos, but his wife told him he had to choose between going back and their marriage. So he indulged the single-engine-single-seat craving by sliding over to Sixes for ADC.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

No wingman in ADC I'm told. You're on your own.

Nope, ADC always sent Sixes in pairs at least when he was flying 'em.

I'll have to look that up. I don't want to go around spreading faulty info. Maybe the one plane mission was in the early years or something like that. I'm pretty sure I have a book at home.

Quote from: Dizzyfugu on August 18, 2025, 07:56:03 AMInteresting choice of colors.  Reminds me a bit of the trial cammos at Hill AB, which included a "Peanut Butter" Thud in wraparound sand, earth and red brown. Was a one-off, though.

This scheme was available on a decal sheet which featured the other two wraparound airframes. It's in the decal draw somewhere.

I thought about using this scheme, but decided that it was too dark. Maybe if l do a night attack F-104F.

Instead, l chose something like WW2 panzer colours.
Whatever.

May have been regional or situational, but per LTC N. it was RARE that he didn't have one, ESPECIALLY when deployed on College Cadence patrolling the Korean DMZ.
