I now know what to do with the leftover parts from the 1/288 Space Shuttle and 1/288 booster rockets. The unmanned cargo version of the NASA Space Shuttle.
Knowing me there's bound to be slight changes to the build plus the parts are tiny and if they escape I won't be able to find them. Additionally I haven't mastered the method of paste and click on my tablet to move the artwork onto this page.

Just do a little google searching and you'll find lots of pics to choose from.

The shuttle has had a few modifications including a V-tail and a raised cockpit. The booster rockets came in two separate moulded parts and have been glued together.
I do have a Tamiya rattle can of TS-26 pure white paint and a sheet of Westland Sea King decals the red, white and blue roundels plus the Royal Air Force lettering.
A raid in my paint store should provide the nonstandard colour schemes.

You'll need black and red stripes to go around the SRBs too.

The 1/288 model kit comes with the launch stand.

NASA contracted out the SJMc Engineering Space Shuttle Auxiliary Replenishment Craft. This Shuttle could carry food, parcels and spare parts along with additional crew during the manned space flights on a commercial basis.
It has been used for the Space Station and is now available for space tourists. Astronaut training continues in the private sector  (certain non-politically correct countries have hired it out) as a source of revenue.

I've repainted the shuttle after snapping off the V-tail and the two booster rockets with a Tamiya white acrylic rattle can,  a little bit of touching up on the fuel tank.

The British Royal Navy used the Replenishment Shuttle for a publicity stunt painting the red, white and blue roundels, Royal Navy 187 plus a couple of crests along the side.
I'm leaving this to dry overnight.

Calling this build finished, yes it's a bit rough around the edges but it will do.
