Nice. Just a proper looking machine. Never saw enough of them over here on my side of the pond, but luckily saw them a few times. A four ship at London one year. I love the way her attitude changes so quickly on both approaches. Thanks for sharing that !

We could have also thrown this into the "Egregious Reporting" thread for whatever communications major intern wrote the caption:

Test pilot Tim Ferguson used the M55 as a makeshift runway on 26 April 1975 to prove his Jaguar aircraft - loaded with four missiles - could successfully land on a road and take off from one.

Unless the RAF was using some pretty fat, short unguided missiles 50 years ago
