If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

It is a tad mucky, the pictures don't do it any justice, plus it's dark during the day up here. It looks right to me so I will have that.

She still looks pretty damn good mate ,,but dude your a model builder and just like me and god knows how many other builders we are never 100% happy with our builds ... ppl might praise your work but you can and will still find a issue  ;D
And hey look where that tank is based ,,it's a dusty environment and having spent some time in such places many yrs ago  now i've seen armoured vehicles  abandoned for yrs still with no rust just dust ,,yep works works pretty damn good ,,and remember Chris .. its 72nd ..i couldn't use most of my weathering tricks on a model that small that's for sure .

Agree 100%!

I have been in contact with the seller of the 3D printed tracks and suspension units I bought for this thing, and I think they are going to send me another set. I sent them pics of the difference and I also put one set up against the hull of an Airfix 1/76th scale sherman, and they are the right size for that. So, it looks like they are the wrong scale, what has surprised me is how much difference in size there is between 72nd scale and 76th scale.

More than you think - though it's not normally an issue; except in cases like this, or if you're trying to e.g. fit an ESCI upper hull onto a Fujimi lower...  or vice-versa... :-\

Weaver

That looks good Chris.

I've never thought of a KV-1 turret swapped onto something else, but it works a treat. Don't fancy a KV-2 on a Sherman hull mind you!  :o

Yeah, sometimes it matters and sometimes it doesn't. 1/76th civvie vehicles usually "pass" next to 1/72nd armour since you expect them to be dwarfed anyway.

It can be useful for what-if fudge-factor too: if a 1/72nd part is a tad too big to fit where you want it, then maybe a 1/76th one will and maybe you can get away with it. For instance, one project I've long had in mind would use a 90mm armed turret in 1/76th scale on a 1/72nd hull. Scaleorama makes the gun 85mm(ish) in 1/72nd, so okay, it's a now a British 20pdr (84mm).

As mentioned above, the seller sent me another set of tracks, and after much measuring and photos, and telling them that they have sent me 1/76 the scale tracks instead of 72 nd scale, they have sent me....... More 76th scale ones  :banghead:  :banghead:  :banghead:

Absolutely, I could not give them any more information or pictures than I already have, seriously something wrong with their thinking. The way it's going I will have something to sell in bulk on the for sale section.  :banghead:
