Hi fellows,

Mistel is finished actually now, but here is a another work-in-progress shot.

Also, some more shots of the Aztec Ta-154, which is rapidly reaching completion.
The antenna are on the nose now and all I  have to do is mask the canopy, but I fear it may turn into a dreaded tailsitter.

I've said before and I'll say it again love the paint job on the 747.

For the TA-154 try putting weight in the engines and behind the pilot as it will definitely by a tail sitter.

Your Aztec plane has inspired me to start my own aztec creation. This one will be a jet.

I am going to use a Heinkel 219 as a basis with the main fueselage of a crusader. to supply the under carriage, wings, tail and the intake. I will however modify the rear part of the fueselage so it is over and under twin jet ala the BAC lightning.

I will post some inprogress pics.

Hi Sisko,

I'm not too sure what a Crusader (some sort of jet plane, I think) is so your description is a little hard for me to picture. But I'm familiar with the Heikel 219, so I'm looking forward to seeing your photos.

I've often thought about buying two of the crappy Revell 1/72 scale 219 Uhus and turning one of them into a four engine job with a lengthened tail. Pretty cool, eh?

Sad to read about your wallet having been stolen. I thought Adelaide was a pretty safe place.

We used to live there when I was about 6 and still have rellos there in Broadview. We used to live in Warradale so long ago.

Lovely cricket ground in Adelaide and the garfish are delicious. Hahndorf is pretty nice as well.

That's all for now, Sisko, hope you get over your loss. Nasty thing to happen.

Cheers from,

Sorry mate, Sisko,
Now I see that the theft happened in Sydney.
Let's hope they got run over on the way home.

Oh, I'm such a twit.  I was looking at your "Mistel" 747 thinking where the heck is the piggybacked fighter plane?

At first glance, for some reason, I was expecting to see something the size of a 1:48 Zero on the back of your 747...then I saw the in-scale fighter up front.

D'Oh!!!    :dum:  :dum:  :dum:

Love that paint job, Allan!

If the tailsitting Aztec cannot be propped up without weight that would collapse the landing gear, maybe try inserting an appropriate length of stiff (but thin) vertical wire in the aft fuselage like I did on my Scale-O-Rama below.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Thanks Baz,

Yep, that might work and I may give it a go.

But I still have some small pieces of metal spray-painted gold that I can cut up with the tin snips and cram into the cockpit.

Hobby club meeting tonight so I'll get some photos taken of my completed Mistel and the Aztec for posting later on this week.
