You've got to love Italian camouflage schemes
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Pee on it and walk away!!

Neat. Is that the Tamiya kit?

Thank you gentlemen.

@Dizzyfugu : I guess it is. I salvaged this kit as it was part of a collection. It was incomplete and all mayor parts were build.

Ah, O.K.. I wondered because it is not the common Hasegawa kit.  ;)

The Ambrosini built SS.4 canard aircraft was designed by Sergio Stefanutti, the fourth
in his series of canard designs, so this one could also have an SS designation. Perhaps
SS.6? Steffanuti's first postwar design was the S.7.
He was the chief designer at Ambrosini for many years, some designs have just the S
number, others are SAI, but all Stefanutti.
Confusing? Nah, just Italian.

I like your suggestions jcf! I couldn't find anything on the SS5 and SS6. Only a Whatif on the SS5. So The designation SS6 is a possibility. For other designations I did find were the SAI 403 (Dardo) as a real world fighter and figured the SS series were experimental and SAI designated designs the not experimentals.
I wanted to show this model as a Italian Air Force fighter for it's great camouflages, not as an experimental. But what is your take on the SS versus SAI designations. Is there a difference?
