This is an Eastern European card model. The only mods I did was to finish it on a wooden base, and add the clear acrylic water on top.
I don't know the scale,around the 1/72 probably, as to it's size.

This is the weathered version.

Wow, who needs an overpriced resin garage kit when you can do that with card?!

Must admit I've often looked at the card models of pre-Dreadnaughts, always shied away though.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Gary

Amazing and I love the refraction effect you got in the water. Very cool.
Getting back into modeling

(I must, I will resist, I will NOT make the inevitable joke...)

Nice model, Glenn, you damn dirty ape!!

(Rats, couldn't hold back!  :P )

Card models are very popular in Europe, and with some extra work and use of other materials they can be very finely detailed. Myself, I've found the seams hard to cover up on the couple I tried, and many smaller details really don't work in paper or card.
I have known people who copied the model onto sheet plastic and built it up that way.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
