Hi all,
I bought an old Hasegawa 1/72 F-4K/M but the tiny sprue with the two exhausts was missing. Any chance anyone has a spare pair from any 1/72 Brit Phantom?

Thanks in advance

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

That is exceptionally helpful. If no-one has any then I'll grab those...although I'll need a pair for a part-built, hand-me-down kit too...thanks for pointing that out!

I just added them to my wishlist and they got cheaper! I like this plan.

But if anyone has any spare Spey cans going spare - really only need basic nozzles - I'd be grateful if you could get in touch and we arrange something.

Fujimi did two different levels of detail. A basic one where the Exhausts had a sort of grating in place of the petals of the nozzle and the more detailed version which had the petals moulded as a separate item. I may have a set of the more basic version available if that is of any help?

That would do perfectly fine, Gondor! I'd be most grateful if they are available. Given the Hasegawa kit is very basic I'm not after anything too fancy.

Not a problem. One pair of afterburning Spey Turbofan exhausts by Fujimi set to one side awaiting a PM for delivery instructions although I am guessing the NZ is going to be the rough area for posting them to

Captain Canada

Those Aries ones are nice, but rather detailed and pricey if you just want somat to give it that 'look'. With the proper diameter tube they should be easy enough to scratch up, no ?

Not exactly Captain.

The above pictures show the differences between the two exhausts made by Fujimi. The petals are not shown as it was difficult at the time to position them inside the exhaust, the one on the left, while the more basic one with what looks like a grate is the one on the right in the pictures. That is the item I have available to send to KiwiZac.

The ones in the most recent reissue of the Fujimi kit - which I built as an RNZAF K in SEA camo - had the separate petal component. Given how basic and un-K/M-like the Hasegawa kit is, the one you posted will do the job nicely. PM inbound!

Captain - quite right. I do have another kit needing some cans so that may get the Aires treatment, I was hoping I wouldn't need to spring more than the price of the kit for a set I'd only use part of.
