Two Brits going by "Bad Obsession Motorsport" are rebuilding a Mini to take the drivetrain from a Toyota Celica GT4, so a 2.0 turbocharged engine and 4WD.

If you liked Mark Evans' programs, you'll enjoy this. I'm halfway through (there are 9 episodes so far), and the only parts of the original Mini bodyshell still intact are the bonnet and the roof. The rest has been replaced with DIY steelwork of amazing quality.  ;D

They're mad, totally mad. But good too.

[Says he who once fitted a Triumph 2.5 litre FI engine in a Bedford CF van.......in the back............  ;)]
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Saw something on similar lines whilst searching weird and wonderful cars on YouTube. Someone had put tank tracks on their mini to go off roading.
The Russian truck company Zil made some whacky motors.
