....would anyone be prepered to sell any 1/72 Brewster Buffalo and P39 (early) Airacobra for a reasonable price....? I been trying ebay but not prepared to pay silly asking price or silly p+p........I'd rather line the pocket of a member here  than an ebay seller.....

I only recently built my last Academy P-39 otherwise you could have had it  :banghead:

Not sure what you mean by "early" but Hobby Boss do both in their easy range

No worries mate......I thought there were slight differences in kits.....I wanted a 1940 era one as opposec to a later war one...not sure if there are many major differences as with say....Spit mkIIa an a mkIX.......

Hi Hank - want me to see if I can find some?

63cpe

I have an 1/72 revell '70-ies Brewster Buffalo for sale € 7,-. Complete kit but parts are from the sprues.

Where are you located?

Costs for international shipping to: Belgium, Danmark (excl Faroe Islands & Greenland), Germany, France, Italy, Luxemburg, Austria, Spain (excl. Canary Islands), UK (excl Guernsey, Jersey & Gibraltar) and Sweden: € 11,00 (< 2kg) without track & trace + box € 2,75= € 13,75 / € 14,30 (< 2kg) with track & trace + box € 2,75= € 17,05

yep, transport costs are steep...sorry 'bout that.

David

Runway ? ...

My list says I can fix you up.
Matchbox buffalo and Heller p39 (I'm thinking Starfix quality until I find it).
I'm UK so £3 or so to get it there plus whatever else you feel like.
Assuming I can find them ;)

That's perhaps a little unfair. Hank is a great guy with a VERY demanding job and he doesn't get on here too often.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Yup Hank spends a lot of time on shift work helping to look after the rest of us, especially us Londoners so give him a little time.

PM him if necessary.

You're right, it was rather but the exchange seemed to be going somewhere I didn't like.

Army of one.
Sorry, you just hit a nerve. That's all i can say.

Right I have to declare an interest here as although I am a moderator I am also a personal friend of Hank.

However firstly I'd like to say " Runway thank you very much for that apology"

Secondly one of the problems with PM's is that for some reason sometimes the system doesn't seem to notify your email address that you have one. This seemed to happen to me about 50% of the time before I changed my Broadband provider recently ? This can be a problem especialy if you view the site via smart phone or similar. So people can miss your PM which I think is what happened here.

Thirdly if members have a problem with someone on site (and I have had a couple) then try and sort it out via PM rather then on the site it'self. If necessary then copy a moderator in on the exchange as sometimes a third pair of eyes can see the miss-understanding easier then those involved. I'm always happy to help out here.

Thank you gentlemen.
