What modelling projects do you think you'll never build or see?

Maybe he was trying to buy a different Lanc kit.

It's more a case of "I thought I wanted the build a B.II" then realised I didn't.  ;D  :banghead:

Sabre or Centaurus was proposed for the Avro 679 aka Manchester in place of the R-R Vulture. Take a Lanc kit, ditch the outer engines, replace the inners with Sabre or Centaurus and ignore the difference in span between the Manchester and the Lancaster. Maybe even make it into a high-altitude version by adding a turbosupercharger to the Sabre or Centaurus. Axial, like a proto-Nomad for the Sabre and centrifugal for the Centaurus like the turbosupercharged Hercules that were built and tested. The H-P proposal for a "Super Halifax" had turbosupercharged Hercules.

The model was TEN FEET long!  :o  :o  :o  :o

I have dreamt of a 1/72 Zeppelin since my Dad built the Revell Albatros with the box art showing a DIII flying alongside an airship. That was 58 years ago. During Covid I sourced materials and made a "plan" but it remains a dream. A lottery win and a new house would help.
