How genuine is this project cos I've never heard of it.....?

Correct me if I'm wrong Nick, but I think you'll find it's a Heinkel P.1080 Luft '46 Projekt.

Amazing work, I'd love to know how he did that BMF (foil perhaps?). This is a great concept for Luft '46 designs, a Focke-Wulf Triebflugel in this scheme would be neat.

Correct - this is beautifully done.  Truely a masterpiece.  Has anyone invited him over here?

All hail the God of Frustration!!!

Folks,

Nicely done.  Very nicely done.

Looks like he got his inspiration from the Northrop X-4 "Bantam" research aircraft.

I'll bet this turned quite a few heads and left some smoke coming out the JMN's ears!

Nicely done indeed.

Wherever you go, there you are!

Thanks guys! I did twig it was a 'captured German project' a la the X-5/P.1101 which was done by Bell but I had no idea as to the real machine type.

One of the best What-Ifs I have seen in ages, the XF-6 designation was never used AFAIK and the F-6 is even less heard of, it's either a P-51 Mustang or an F4D Skyray!
The artwork photo looks the part and the model is great. The detail is perfect.
