PRU blue Mossie, Gunship Grey F-15E, RLM-02 He-280, for instance.

Which then begs alternative monochromes:

Ki-10 Perry in overall British Slate Grey.
Beaufighter in Gloss Sea Blue which Jennings did an awesome profile for
F-106 in a flat light sand such as Radome Tan and middlestone-like lo-vis markings.
Mirage in Denmark's dark olive green
Harrier in Middlestone.
KC-135 in Intermediate Blue
Dragon Rapide in British Racing Green
Hawk P-6E in Japanese gray green (A6M2)
D3A1 Val in RLM-02

Others?

I think F-105s would look pretty badass in gunship gray, since most of the time I'd see them in SEA.

LoL.  I wondered if the Intermediate blue would get a rise out of you.  Nonetheless, the KC-135 deserves at least something other than grey.  Perhaps FS-34092 green overall is better?

GREEN!?!?!?  You've truly lost what little of your mind was left.  KC-135s (and other members of the family) were intended by God Himself to be in one of only a small handfull of color schemes.  Acceptable color schemes are:

1.  Natural metal with fluorescent red-orange conspicuity markings and full SAC or MATS insignias

2.  Overall Coroguard with full SAC, MAC, or AFSC insignias

3.  Any full color scheme ever applied to an EC or RC before 1991

4.  The MAC Special Air Missions (VIP) schemes (several variations)

5.  Overall FS 16473 Aircraft Gray with full color, full size markings

Those are the ONLY approved color schemes for KC-135s and other members of the family.  All others are blasphemous, of the devil, and shall be forever banished from the earth.  The person who came up with "Proud Gray" and the Shamu scheme should be taken out and hanged.  After they are hanged until they are dead, they should be drawn and quartered, and the individual pieces shot before being put into a meat grinder.

Now, Jennings, repression is bad for you.  Come out with it and tell us what you really think.

Can't you tell that he very rightly has the opinion that nothing looks better than that particular aircraft?          It was a very happy day for me personally when I learned that PDX was going to host KC-135's and it was a sad day when they left.  I got to see the  last one leave.............and then they were gone.  <_<

BTW, which is ''Shamu''?  Reason for asking is that Southwest Airlines has/had a 737-?300 in ''Shamu'' Orca markings and that can't be on any 707-based aircraft of any kind.

X-mas eve 1993 I got to climb over a number of KC-135's at an un-named air force base which was the first time I'd gotten to see the machine up close and personel.         The lines are just so right.    They were a dramatic and pleasant contrast to the other un-named low-number bomber  aircraft pancake in the other building.   Civilian eyes weren't supposed to see that particular airframe but..............    Let's just say America was resting peacefully that afternoon...........................

Daryl J., wishing the 707 were still in regular active service and googling images of above-mentioned paint schemes..........................

Speaking of 707s, I remember that, once upon a time, Boeing looked at stretched versions to compete with the DC-8 Series 60 & 70 variants.  Anyone have any firm information on these proposals?  Given the constant cross-section of the 707 fuselage (which ISTR it shares with the 727 and 737), they'd be easy to model and I suspect some interesting military and civilian schemes could be applied to 'em.

Maybe it is just me, but most anything looks nice and sinister in black.  Imagine in black:
Vulcan
B-1B
Spifire
Eurofighter
CF-105
Sopwith Camel
Mirage III
F-22 Raptor
Tornado
Osprey
X-29
F-20
F-18
F-16
Flankers
