This bird is really cool. A problem with wings ... we are whiffers, so ... let's fix it!

Mmmmm, Miles designs!  B)

Gorgeous aircraft Jon!  Modelling this would be a serious undertaking, but if you started with a DH Hornet fuselage & a modified a He-70 wing you might be able to get a damn good likeness.

It's quite similar to the Ghorovsky G-38 'Light Cruiser', although the Miles is better looking.  It's funny you mentioned the Naboo starfighter Jon, I always thought this one wouldn't look out of place in Star Wars by simply removing the twin boom & props!

Somehow, even with the gorgeous blended cockpit, it still manages to look Russian.  Probably something to do with those huge Gnome-Rhone engines!

Mossie,

Is that designed by Burt Rutanski?

Got to admit I had to do a double take there!  "'Burt Rutanski, never heard of him, I'll have to look him up.....  wait a minute.....   Burt *"&$"£% Rutanski, Daryl J you cheeky £$%^$£! :dum: "

Caught me out, you little tinker, you!!!

Think your right about the Firefly wing Wooksta, it's much closer than the He-70 I proposed, nearly spot on.  I still think the Hornets fuselage would be closer though, I thought about the Whirlwind but to me it doesn't have the right shape & Hannants do the Frog Hornet for about seven quid.

Mossie

Wooksta, for the engines, I guess you could rob them from the Frog Shack (Hannants still list it).  You'd need to do something about the radiators, but shouldn't be too difficult to fair them in.  Not a cheap way of doing it though.
