I'm headed back to the LHS this afternoon to see if they have another one of these $5 P-40s in stock for this very purpose. I'm thinking along the lines of the Hawk 75 export version, but perhaps with the Allison inline engine.

I'm really glad you guys like this build. Your comments encourage me to no end!

Brian, I had that exact idea as well; called it the Hawk 81N. Here's what I came up with, hope this helps. ;) Fantastic work on the P-36 by the way! :wub: The P-36 is one of my favorites!

That's a cracking idea ysi! Take a kit of any P-40 variant , in any scale, and build it differently. Call it the P-40 GB.

It's kind of a pity the GB calendar is so chocked full for the fisrt half of 2007.

Well, the Alt. Landing Gear/VSTOL was proposed and Supertom said he'd be adding the topic. This was a while ago. I'm not sure if maybe the powers that be have changed their minds or not.
