when the name of your F-1 team is Scuderia Ferrari, and your pilot shumacher, you need something fast and comfortable to fly all around the world. So, here's Ferrarri own bizjet (mach2 Falcon-20 kit)
First, painted red...

and with Ferrari stick on the side
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

In the same way, Heller 1.72 scale concorde was quite modified...(after French and British governement decided in 1978 to save Concorde production line by introducing a nuclear bomber, replacing their aeging Mirage IVA and Vulcan fleets)

With a bomb bay (and an ASMP nuclear missile on it)

Canards, pin-up and refueling probe...

... canted nose (instead of dropping nose) and RAF markings.

Great!
Your Ferrari bizjet made me smile, but most of all, I love the pretty nose of your canard Concorde
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Don't know what happen to me the other day but I had a painting madness. First victim was my Super Hornet which ended in spanish markings. And after that, the bizjet! Ferrari logo come from Sport Auto. :)
Just love this forum for that

Ya know that Falcon make sense to me. With all the money these racing teams invest it wouldn't surprize me that they have business jets, and what could be better that the Stallion on a yellow shield. Go Ferrari!

Cool and I love the Bomcord. Doe the nose really dip like that or was it part of a set of mods you put in. I've been kinda toying with what to do with my 144th Heller Concord and you've kinda got me thinking. (damn you :P ) Looks great mate!
Getting back into modeling

Concerning the concorde... the nose was dropping with an ingenious system (well done Airfix and Heller!)... until I broke the system :dum:  :dum:
So I decided that a civil concorde without the dropping nose was not a concorde. So, what to do with that huge kit? a bomborde (or bombcorde :) )
The nose was now fixed in the upper position... which mean no visibility for the pilots at take off.
In the kit, you must glue the whole cockpit to the passenger cabine. Well, I did it, but I let a big space, leaving the cockpit hinging downwards. In fact my cockpit was fixed to the passenger cabin only on its lower part! This was not very solid, and there was a big hole, so I glued a strip of paper with Loctite. Even if its paper, with such strong glue it can't fall :)
If you look well, you can see the paper strip near the roundel.

Now this concorde bomber has a canted nose :)

there was small surfaces on the Concorde on the side of the cockpit. Their location was screaming at me "CANARDS!!!!!"  B)
The pinup come from a P-80. A big crap (for 9 euros, its quite logical!) Decals were so good that they desintegrated in water   So I cut the pin-up  with the paper behind (this phrase sounds strange   )

The Formula 1 promoter Bernie Ecclestone's company certainly used to own a BAe146 they used to move camera crews round the circuits.  Apparently it made customs, and particularly the loading of large quantities of tubular metalic and electronic camera kit, a lot easier!

Your Bombcorde is magnificent! I think it's the best so far of all your builds you've posted Arch! Fantastic! I just wish I knew more compliments in Francais!   I love the "droop snoot", it looks perfect on her!

DELTA CANAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Archibald

For me a concorde bomber was logical, after all it earned so much from bombers...
- B-58 supersonic, transatlantic fligths
- Mirage IV fuel transfer for balancing its CoG in flight
- Vulcan (delta wing+ four Olympus+Olympus testbed)
- TSR-2 (Olympus)
So, why not a Concorde bomber after all???
Thanks, K-5054!
PS I also introduced my girlfriend (I suppose Lana is your girlfriend??? ) to models. Stephanie made the Heller Spitfire IX some weeks ago, it just miss the decals now :) )
