If I may, I'd like to announce the arrival of a couple of books with a high WI content to them. While these aren't 100% what-if, they each have a great deal of info on unbuilt designs.

Chronicles the development of undersea warships from the late 1800s through the present day, as depicted in official patent documents.

*Profusely illustrated with many 3-views, overall illustrations, and hull-cross section diagrams

*Covers many "what-if" projects, including:

-A triple hull submarine tanker
-Submersible aircraft carrier
-Hybrid/submarine/landing craft
-A large man-capable "strategical demolition torpedo" with a multi-ton warhead capability

Printed version, 397 pages softcover   $19.99 + s/h

PDF version on CD     $9.99 + s/h

To hopefully keep this from being too commercial, here's a couple of interesting patents not in the books...

I see a one-shot nuclear strike version flying off A4D's...

This should be achievable using an Essex or Midway flight deck and island + some scratchbuilding...Dunno how achievable/effective this would have been back in '46 - ie fitting the machinery of the day in the space allocated, plus the question of keeping magazines & other vital spaces deep enough within a hull to keep out as much battle damage as possible...still interesting though

Thanks

Seaplanes purchased and downloaded...thanks for having that option.

Very Cool stuff.
