Brian knows how to bash a 109 and a 504 to make a couple of unique aircraft.  But at Wonderfest this year, they had a special category.
Here is the winner.

The builder used 5 different scales of 109 kits.
There were many builders who didn't finish their versions I will be watching the SSM forum to see what other crazy builds they come up with.
Oh, and they are thinking of using a tank of some kind for next years challenge.

There are two great things about that:

1) It's damned well done

2) You can hardly recognize the ugly brute that it started as!

I think it needs spats.

What an excellent and imaginative way to use up the 109s in your stash!

Even if it doesn't have spats.

I love spats!

The RLM02 he's used is a too green a shade.  It should have more of a brown tinge to it.  The people who voted this the winner should clearly never be allowed to adjudicate a proper model contest.

*gets out RLM 02 sample taken from actual BF 109 wreck back in '45 and kept in a dark, cool, dry place ever since*

Agreed.

There's a couple more Me109 mutations over at the Starshipmodeler.com site (in the gallery of Wonderfest pics and the Me109 forum on the message board).

I had heard about this thing, but it's unbelieveable in pictures!

Awesome work!

As to how I whiff 109's, here's what I did!
