RAAF F-4 Alternatives

Mirage IVP (upgraded Mirage IVA, waiting for the Mirage 2000N).

For Australia : Mirage IVP/O Atar 9K-50 (or even M53) antilope V radar, ASMP (with a non nuclear warhead) or lots of bomb racks (for...bombs, Martell, Exocet and the like).
Possibility to convert surplus Mirage IVA (only 20 were upgraded to IVP standard, when 80 had been built by Dassault). Surplus Mirage IVA were waiting their demise in chateaudun...

Getting a little carried away here aren't we - the stopgap lease aircraft were only needed for a couple of years during the early 1970s whilst awaiting the F-111.

I think Archie'll prefer that RAAF keep the Mirage IV instead of the F-111, am I wrong??
