Shouldn't be too hard breaking it down into crossections.

Intresting design. My first thought was an Alpha jet on steroids

"The deadliest things come in small packages" could be the manufacturer's slogan.

I like the way your camo-skin is sort of streaked/blotchy.  Makes it look more realistic already; like slightly weathered paint on an actual fighter.  How do you do that?  By hand or by the software?

Good job.

QuoteGood job.
Yes, and cute plane... with a so big eye :)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Yeah it's done by hand. I keep multiple layers in PSP, and the first is always the mesh, then the second is the actual "unpainted" fuselage, then there's a camo pattern where the color is 100% opaque but the layer has a 37% opacity, so any imperfections shine through and create this effect.

Nice little 'plane.  What software do you use for modelling?  I'm guessing 3DS or GMax perhaps?

And in a moment of forehead slapping realisation I've remembered that I can now actually do the layered textures trick, too.  If I had the patience and skill to paint them, that is...

Lacking any form of technical know-how I will merely limit my considered response to:

Awwwww, isn't it cute !

Is that OK ?

Yeah, until it turns its weapons on you.

Which leads me to ask: will you also render a version with ordnance/guns, etc.?

Yeah, when I've gotten around to skin the hardpoints and all the lovely ordonance I've made for it. The skin on the plane itself is nowhere near complete, either. I've cooked up some insignias for it, but it'd be cool if you people could help me with signs and stuff that's usually found on real planes, so it can be made to look authentic.

Snowbird markings....

Hey common, they need some new mounts. Those ol' trusty Tutors are a little dated.

I've got some stuff from a USAF painting guide. You want it by e-mail?

Julhelm

That'd work, or you're free to add me on AIM if you wish; sn: Julhelm.
