A while ago I bought some 3D printed tracks and suspension etc to fit to my hasegawa sherman A3E8. The tracks were supposed to be 1/72 scale, but they were in fact 1/76th scale. After several months of messaging and sending me another set of wrong scale tracks, and yet more measuring photos and waiting, I have finally go in the post today, a set of correctly scaled tracks and suspension etc. Pity I built the kit they were for months ago.  :-\
I will have to source another one won't I.

Hasegawa armour kits were always a pain as at the time they were one of the few manufacturers doing them in 1/72. Mind you I was never totally sure they were as they always looked way, way larger then Airfix and Nitto etc. Maybe Airfix was a tad under 1/76th ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

quite possible Chris, the two scales seem to differ in difference between manufacturers. I have a so called 1/72 scale conqueror, and it is smaller than the same scale mk5 Centurion I have. The maker of the Conqueror swears that it is to scale. Go figure

Surely it's easy to figure out the scale? Measure it and multiply by 72. If it doesn't come out as long as real Conqueror, it's NOT to scale!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I suppose the one I have is a wiff version then, or a budget cuts version. Unless the centurion is too big of course...

I have seen the specs before O.W. There is a lot of difference there isn't there.

Yes, but I did the 1/72 measurements so you could check which, if either, was actually 1/72 scale.  ;D
