Coincidentally (there are no coincidences - Robert Anton Wilson) I read this today.

Car Modellers are often considered the "crazies" of the modelling world...Consider the fact that car modellers aren't limited to the strict replication of historic subjects.  Creativity plays an important role in many of our projects, allowing us to flesh out our wildest concepts in three dimensions.  When it comes to modelling, we're limited only by our imaginations.

The notion that a person who chooses to build a model of a real world subject and only includes that for which they have information is somehow a lesser being who lacks imagination is numptyism at it's worst.

Ah, the irony, seeing as that's exactly what you guys have been saying with your comments about those who choose to build "straight" models lacking imagination.

Based on the recurrent whinging in this forum about JMNs etc. some folk were evidently traumatized by nasty comments somebody made decades in the past.
