Hi All

You probably know about my quest to find a vehicle for my scale shots of 1/48 aircraft that resulted in an overscale landrover, well here is its replacement.

Its a mild whiff the backstory being this is a surplus military vehicle bought up by a civilian and sprayed yellow, badly. It is also badly maintained so the green military paint is showing through in places of wear and then of course there is the rust

Here it is in all its Grimy goodness:-

First with the canopy on :-

And then in pickup configuration.........

I added some details in the back, the tool box is full of tiny tools but you can hardly see any of them   :-\

And finally a couple of scale shots with some figures.......

I don't know if this truck represents all of the Tamiya range of vehicles but it was a dream to build and came out well, one of those builds that just falls into place.

Build thread is over on sprues here :- https://beyondthesprues.com/Forum/index.php?topic=11665.0

As always, all comments and criticisms gratefully accepted.

Good job.

I built the Tamiya 1/48 GAZ AA Truck a few years back.  That too was a dream to build.  Wish i'd bought more at the time as they don't seem to be around anymore.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.  Revelling in numptytism.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

What a FABULOUS weathering job you did there Mog!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Really nice work, 'Mog!

Bodywork might not have been kept the best but the lack of smoke sediments on the rear indicate that the engine & mechanicals have been well looked after!  ;)  ;)

I know Wallace's car (from Wallace & Gromit) was a well kept Austin 35, but I still kept expecting them to appear in the cab of this build.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I need one of those to drive around town instead of those pricy golf carts!

If i had the money to run and maintain one of these I'd be in there like a shot, in reality I just have to rough it in a Nissan Juke  ;D  ;D  ;D
