Finished this one off at 00.30 this morning and had to wait till I got home from work to photograph it while we still had daylight.

My son, again, chose this kit as my next subject and together, we trawled through hundreds of images trying to find the perfect paint scheme till eventually agreeing on this one of a real world Aventador. I had to add another sticker onto the door to cover a rather unfortunate mishap. Shhh, I won't tell if you won't....

Painted in Zero Paints Flame Red on top of Tamiya Champagne Gold and Gunze Clear. I skipped 2k this time round as the finish was good enough without it. Some of the curves could do with a polish like the roof, but the clear is too thin to do it safely, so I left it as is. It doesn't detract too much from the overall effect.

We went with a black and white interior which I think looks the part. Probably a bit impracticable, but let's be honest, this is the LEAST practical car in the world, so who cares?

That's enough pics because that's all I have :)

As always, thanks for stopping in and having a look

See you round

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed, badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That's sweet, Si!

Even centipedes would be a threat to that front scoop/air-dam!  :o

Beautiful work!
Don't try to drive that car on roads in Illinois! Those body parts would get ripped right off at the first railroad crossing!

LOL, thanks guys  Agreed, it does look like any sniff of a bump would result in a cartoon style body-falls-apart scene, but luckily the real one has air lift kit on it, saving and protecting the large investment.

Nice.
Stay away from carparks, too - and the pedestrian crossing humps that have recently proliferated over here...  :banghead:

In Chicago the "speed bumps" are about 8" high and ten feet wide. I was surveying a street once and this old Caddy roared down the street and hit one full speed. I thought maybe they hadn't seen it. Nope, the little old lady from the west side slammed the next one just as hard!

The trick is to dab the brakes and then accelerate just before you hit them.  That way the nose of the car is already rising.  It's all in the timing.   ;)
I don't recommend trying it with SWMBO in the car though.  Especially if its her car...

I've seen people driving full-on 4x4s slow right down to almost a halt before driving over one. I swear they engage low ratio before 'climbing' all the way over the bump. maybe just to justify themselves buying the 4x4 in the first place.

Me, I just drive over them, I've seen what the road simulators I've installed do to cars, and they manager to survive!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I own a 4x4 & driving over bumps is what they're designed for, why would you slow down?   Weird!   ACCELERATE!!

Maybe you can manage to jump all the way over the next one, too...  ;D

These things will rip the sump out of the vehicle, or at least screw your suspension - at least in my estimation and I can't afford to replace the car, so the folk behind me will just have to live with getting stuck behind me.
