Hi all.

Firstly I've bitten the bullet and paid for web hosting because of the Imgur stupidity, so hopefully everybody can now see my posts. I will try and update my previous posts over time if this works.

But now on with the post ...........

Those that look at my builds will know that I usually finish with a couple of shots with a yellow Land Rover.

To this end I brought the 1/43 Airfix series one Land Rover Starter kit to pose with the recently completed Bristol Boxkite.

But it was not to be,  the difference between 1/43 and 1/48 was more marked than than I thought  in that a figure set against a Land Rover should be level or looking over with the roof, but a 1/48 figure is looking up at the roof so it wasn't going to work.

So a hasty re-evaluation and out popped this a mild whif ...

This is a great starter kit that went together very well, the only fly in the ointment was the enclose paints.

I have now purchased a Tamiya Austin 'Tilly'  to be my "Yellow Land Rover " watch this space on that one.

As always, all comments and criticisms gratefully received.
Mostly harmless ...............

The picture hosting is working, it shows a very nicely finished and very yellow Landy

Well done, where's the exhaust pipe?

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

There wasn't one, apparently because this is a beginners kit and the fact that at scale it would be very flimsy Airfix took the decision not to include it.

As I was building this to a tight deadline in opted  not to  try and reproduce it.

There was no gear leaver or drive shift leavers either.

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .
