This is a kitbash as there isn't a flying example of the proposed Lockheed SC-130B ,I thought that I would have ago at building the SC-130K aka Sea Hercules.
I'm using the 1/72 Italeri Lockheed C-130J model and adding the wheel bays of a AC-130H to be used as side weapons bays erm a bit on the small side but practicable for smaller ordnance. There's fitting issues but PSR should rectify this.
Someone on YouTube has built their own SC-130J in 1/72 scale.
I also have replaced the J engines for H resin ones.

PSR continues with the new fuselage side weapons bays, which can accommodate torpedoes from the Hasegawa Lockheed P-3C Orion model kit.
The landing gear has been applied. The cargo bay floor has been altered to fit not shown in the photo.

I'm using the interior fittings from the 1/72 Airfix Avro Shackleton MR.2, the cargo hold has the business end but the panels are on the right hand side as they are a better fit. Not everything can be seen when the fuselage halves are pushed together but I know it's there, maybe a few windows in the roof might help to let the light in,we'll have to see.

I have been painting the interior fuselages in beige it's almost a match as the photos of the inside of the Avro Shackleton MR.2, the seats are in a maroon colour. Details will be picked out at a later stage.

This build is now a twin turboprop, the seats have been painted and the cockpit looks busy. I have glued the two fuselage halves together, however there's a gap underneath which will be filled in with some plastic card. The nose radome now has the 'dustbin ' taken from a Westland Sea King AEW helicopter, the M.A.D. boom and ECM pod taken from the Revell Breguet Br.1150 Atlantic kit.
I can see most of the interior that's in the cargo hold, this might change when the loading ramps are glued in place.

I cut the nose radome to place some fishing weight, the two pence coins also act as weight and represent the Searchwater radar. The ESM, ECM and the M.A.D. boom all come from the 1/72 Revell Dassault Aviation-Breguet
 Atlantic 1 Anniversary model kit.
The spare parts boxes have been raided.

PSR continues filling in the gaps and modifications. This model depicting the upgrade from the MRA.1 to the MRA.1 Phase 1 ( updating the search radar AN/APS-20S set to the EMI Searchwater with wingtip ESM pods, the interior avionics undergoing a refit, hence the access panels taken off and the old Avro Shackleton MR.3 operating desk with the equipment waiting to be replaced although some of the Sea Hercules MRA.1s flew with the old and new systems until Phase 2 was completed with a new package of goodies).

Sonobouy launch tubes have been added to both sides of the fuselage, preloaded or preselected depending on the customer.
