I didn't see this topic until now but left a comment on the Mach 2 page for the HS 748 and the Convair CV range. I never knew that the Convair CV was fitted with Rolls-Royce Dart engines along with the Allison turboprops.

Back in the Sixties and early Seventies, TTA, later TI, flew a bunch of CV-580s.  Including service to Easterwood Field just outside College Station, TX,  Noisy things, too.
