Hi all!

This one I finished one year ago. It's the Northrop F-5E Tiger II from the anime "AREA 88". Let me start with one image of the "real" one:

It's the MiniHobby (HobbyBoss) F-5E on 1/72nd scale and the decals are from Bestfong Decals.

I hope you like it!

Paul.

Not familiar with the anime but the model looks great!

Great job.  Given the subject is from an anime the cartoony look the dark panel wash on the white paint gives it is appropriate.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

very nice, i like Area88, seen both the OVA and the 2004 Anime, but i prefer the OVA with its F-20 Tigershark
Shin also briefly flies an F-5E (although in a more modest color scheme).
i made a 1/144 version not to long ago

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

This anime stuff goes clean past me at around M 3.5, but the modelling is terrific, nice job.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

lovely looking version of Shins jet, the unicorn is more subtle than the manga one ( possibly the advantage of the Anime  one being in full colour)
but a big   from me here.

take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Really rather good. I've only seen the original Area 88, not the newer series, but your build really looks the part.

That is very nice. One of the best F5's I've seen

Very nice ! Makes a sleek and beautiful aeroplane somehow even more so ! The colours look great. Would make a nice display team scheme.

Great stuff, really looks the part. I love Area 88, and I think this is a great representation of Shin's plane. I agree that the panel lining really makes it look like the F-5 from the anime, too.
