North American/Rockwell join the Royal Navy

1973 and both of the Royal Navy,s CVA-01 carriers have entered service.The Fleet Air Arm had previously realised that they would require a Carrier Capable Trainer (C.C.T) to train future aircrew for these ships.They (FAA) placed an order for 30 N.A/Rockwell Buckeye,s for this role.The aircraft enter service in 1970 as the Puffin T2,and proves to be very successful.

Looks like the Revell re-issue of the old Matchbox Buckeye has been put to good use!  Great stuff! :wub:

Yep its the Revell/Matchbox kit built OOB with decals from spares box.Nice kit to build if a little basic.Thought it would sit nicely alongside my Cormorant.FLY NAVY !

Very nice build, i had a couple of these in my stash and i was going to do something very similar for my Empires Twighlight thread, not going to now as yours is so nice  :wub: :wub:
Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!
