Paypal rules scupper regular 'donations to the cause', I've found.

Really? I've got standing orders set up via Paypal, and some of them are to "one man band" Youtubers, so I don't see why that wouldn't work here.

I think your YouTubers may have set themselves up as businesses rather than operate as private individuals.

According to the others, no. Britmodeller has a system set up for monthly payments, that may be the way to go.

I had set up a regular payment until some time ago, it stopped with that message. I did send a PM about it, but never got a response.
