Radish

Thanks for those inputs!!

SR53 indeed

Also...was I correct in spotting some small (1/72nd?) Star Wars kits in a corner of the Revell stand? Pocket sized?

Nice Mr Airfix said the Pucara in the Falklands set was from MPM (all injected - no brass or resin).  He hinted that each of that set's kits might be released individualy at some point next year.  Mmm.  So why bother with a box set?  Only wa to flog tired old A-4 and PM Mirage?
SR53 WOW - major whiff material if the Modelstories report is true.
More Airfix stuff set to be announced at Toy Fair 08, he said.  I hope it's NOT the Spit IX, Me 262, Zero and all the other geriatrics that really should be allowed to R.I.P.
A new 1/72 Lightning F.2A/F.6 would be nice, as would a new B.2/B.6 1/72 Canberra (scale down the 1/48 beasts?), a decent Jet provost T.3/T.4 and a Supermarine Swift FR.5.

I like the look of the AM Predator and the Airfix SR53.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I could go for one of those Predators in 1/48.

Was that really a 1/48 Jolly Green kit?  I've seen that one advertised as Pre-Order at GreatModels, but others that I've mentioned it to say that its a typo and that the kit is the old 1/72 re-popped.  Anybody have a confirmation one way or the other?

I'd love to get a Jolly Green in 1/48 to go with my Skyraider as a Sandy CSAR package.
The Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah, the Men's department.

The Rat

SR53!!!

Last time it was readily available the after-market biz was almost non-existant, so now we might expect a good selection of stuff to stuff in it. I might even break down and splurge for something meself.

That new Canberra B.2 is most welcome too, especially if it's at a good price. I have a cunning plan...  :ar:

Hmm, lots of interesting material there.  I'll admit to being tempted by that Nike-Hercules as I'm really tempted to try and do the Nike-Phoenix upgrade that a combined MDC and Hughes Missiles team was trying to sell.  I suspect it'd make an interesting model.

The AM Predator is 1/72 (it's a bigger aircraft than most poeple think)
It's not an effing  jump jet.

A Matilda Hedgehog?

The TARDIS!

The Moebius models really tug at my wallet.

In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

The RoG Lanc looks really good, better than the Hasegawa IMHO.

It'll be another great year methinks.

The SR 53 is just a rumor . Has anyone talked with Trefor about it ?

The Pucara should be MPM, I confirm that from Czech sources

The Jolly Green Giant and Seaking are listed as 1/48 in the Lindberg catalogue. Most of the people I talked to assume this is a printing error as Lindberg has both kits as classics from the early seventies in 1/72
I have no specifics on the Predator. I was just told that "all" AM kits were 1/48

QuoteAren't Lindberg supposedly doing the Japanese I-400 class boats in 72nd or am I imagining it?
I-20 with HA-20 two-man sub and I-53 with Kaitens.

Still pretty big subs in 1/72: I-20 (Type C1) 358.5' LOA; I-53 (Type C3) 356.5' LOA.
I-53 was originally set up to carry four Kaiten, this was quickly increased to six.
