Now that would be an interesting conversion for something like a P-38, or even the Supermarine Spitfire twin-boom I saw posted around the ARC some time back.  Or maybe it was LSP, I couldn't find it...but having a connected wing with the pod back behind it, done up in 1942 USN blue & white...yum.
