Hey all. I recently revealed a project for the USAF GB involving a P-39 fuse and Meteor wings and jet engines. I wanted fancy up the interior a bit, and I just happened to have the interior from an Academy P-51B laying around and it fits nicely. The radio deck sits exactly where the piston enigne did, conveniently covering up that big hole, which got me thinking of a full sliding bubble top. Would it be possible? It would defintely modernize the airframe and make it just a bit sleeker and sexier looking. Anyone know of a donor canopy that fits easily or am I going to have to make one? Thanks for any and all input and advice.

The one-and-only P-63D had a bubble canopy, later than the P-39 I realize, but its pretty close.

The Yak 15 canopy looks similar to my eye:

A-Model has done a kit of the Yak 15.

Or maybe, you could modify the Meteor canopy?

The -63 is a beautiful airplane. The bubbletop canopy is a nice-to-have thing in visual combat, and this model, and the P-40N/Q are ones of my favorites.
Of course, counting in, the P/F-51, and the seafang/spiteful.
