Sarracen aircraft a standard Spitfire IX equiped with Abukir filter.

Sarracens obtained these aircraft from Egyptian sources.

The model is a classic: OOB (with Italeri filter) Airfix 1/72.

This camo was used in RAF Tempests (Egypt, late 40s).

Awww Man, I gotta get in gear and finish my Crusader Spitfire, I have one coat of white on it but it's gonna need another, can't let the Saracens dominate the skies!

Just picked up on this  :dum:

I do like the camo scheme - I've always meant to do one of the real life Tempest's in that scheme.

Realy show's you can still turn out some good stuff with these so called "classic" kits. I was suprised how well the Mk II "snap tite" one turned out
