Two Helicopters Projects

Ironically, my first and also my last project of that aviation serie were helicopters. First - called Euroglimpse - was toy-like attack helo in NATO 50. anniversary colour scheme. It looks good, but with my current knowledge I can cleary say, that the placement of the unguided missiles pack was not very smart. Firing them can be a supergreat experience for the crew

The last one started from the fenestron as an attempt to make the RAH-66 Comanche, but ended in the different way. Everything looked OK till the time, when I wanted to make the cockpit and realized, that the whole fuselage is simply too fat. So I had to abadon the idea of Comanche and started to use my fantasy. Rotor was painted only with the magic maker, so its not in the good condition now and requires to be repainted with something better.

The fenestron chopper looks a little like the one on the cover of John Birmingham's "Final Impact".

I rather like the Fenestron but the Euroglimpse isn't bad either :)

Now we are three members modelling from cardboard. I use this -cool- material only for wings and tails, and it's very practical...
I'm astonished by the complex builds of you and Rafa. Most complicated thing I ever modeled from cardboard was a MBB Lampyridae (the German F-117). It was a faceted aircraft, but its general form stayed simple.

Love the look of those helos...

King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I have everytime respect to paper modelers...
I was one in the past and know how different its to build such kits or ...self designed models...

Yowsa Matej those are some awesome helos! Your cardboard modelling is among the best I've ever seen, even on a par with some W.W. I stuff. Absolutely amazing!

Thanks. I still have the best (non-aviation) pieces in my bookshelf. Stay tuned!  ;)
