Quoteomeone has to turn this cincept into plastic

I am seriouslly considering doing so - at this stage though I will be keeping the turrets etc and still having it as a bomber (and no Spats!).  Designation anyone - B-17H ??.

Regards,

Greg
All hail the God of Frustration!!!

With 3800 bhp it would be rather underpowered. The test bed had a 5000 bhp turboprop.

You're right... Turbodyne , Tyne, NK-12 maybe ?
Or a turborpop variant of the Lockheed L-1000 ?
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Speaking of spats, ive been driving round an airport in a cessna skyhawk with spats today

Turboprop, definately.  :D  :D  :D

Possibly remove the turtle deck as well smoothing the profile even further.   Wing shorting to me sounds rather tricky.

Soft field tires in the spats or even tundra tires.

Gotta think about this a bit.  There's a Hasegawa B-17G in Ye Olde Stash purchased for Whiffing and it's been back burnered but the up and coming B'da B's GB might see it rise again............(not taking any dibs on the concept...I just really like it!)

      as ever,

Turbodyne with a contra-prop driven from the front.

The L-1000 would have been too small.
