QuoteI'm just trying to make mine like the picture I have of a RAF Concorde which first appeared in the 1968 RAF Golden Jubilee Year Book.
I've got that book somewhere, and mentioned that pic a few times on here. I was 15 at the time, and like most guys that age was walking around in a semi-permanent state of arousal. That picture almost put me over the top! Got a scan we can see?

That reminds me: picked up a tome on the Tu-144 at Waddington.  Tupolev proposed a long-range ECM/interceptor variant... so...

It's been done a few times, in the Scale-o-rama vein. Here's my basic outline, which will one day be applied to that ancient Airfix in the attic:

No no no, O namesake-san! The proposal was not for scaling the Konkordski down, just for sticking a radar in the nose and some massive AAM's under the wings.

So I'm thinking, Concorde prototype (it's a bit shorter), production-standard engines, as many Sea Dart missiles as you can cram on a rotary launcher in the fuselage...

lancer

Why just one rotary launcher?? Surely there's room for 2 in that fuselage??

Just finished painting my Heller 1/72 concorde. It's now a british bomborde (or bombcorde) with a canted cockpit (no dropping nose), canards, flight refueling probe from a Mirage 2000N, bomb bay with ASMP... photos to come soon
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

I can't wait to see what you've done Arch.

Hmm! interesting idea with the drooping forward fuselage there Arch.

Cheers,  Robert

Is the idea that it moves when in flight or would it stay like that?

Its a bit like the Su-27 : the nose is fixed, canted forward. It doesn't move! I broke the dropping nose system  <_<  and that's why I chose to make a bomber of this concorde... with a canted cockpit.
