I saw this pic here a few days ago that had a SR-53 on the back of a valient. I don't have a Valient, but Ihave a Victor. Questions,

Is the time frame for the SR-53 on the back of a Victor work? Would the 53 fly at the same relative times.

Second, what would the colours be if the RAF were testing the SR-53 Victor Combo. I suspect the SR-53 would stay white, but what about the Victor? What was correct for testing at that approx timeframe?

What about if they went operational? Would the 53 stay white? Would the Victory be cammo? White? White was for antiflash qualities for a nuke right? So if a bomber wasn't carrying nukes but serving as Mother Goose for a piggyback fighter, what would she need to look like then?

Thanx

As it's not a bomber role, my guess is they'd both be camouflaged. If the time period is late fifties/ early sixties, probably dark sea grey/dark green/aluminium.

This could have been a stepping stone to the Norweiler waverider hypersonic vehicle.

This SR.53/Valliant combo is for amateurs - the real professionals would have used the XB-70/X-15A-3 combo:
