An Airfix Defiant from Uncle Frank which will be out of the box but a whiff.  Think about that one...

From toda...sorry...yesterday's Bolton Show (Got home, ate, fell asleep then woke up to internet problems):

Monogram 1/72nd scale F-105G Wild Weasel - Cheers to Thorvic's EKFG powers!
(To be RAF-buys-US Canberra replacement)

Revell 1/52nd scale Star Wars Snowspeeder
(These Level 3 Star Wars kits (proper kits, not toys) look like very good value for money, which makes a change)

Heller 1/72nd Alouette III scrapper for £cheep
(Spares box: got no rotor blades)

Tamiya tape, Chisel blades & paint.

Its amazing how tiring a show actually is even when its a local one

Be interesting what you come up with for the Alouette III, as it certainly has whif potential, especially with a Sci-Fi twist.

After a long time of waiting, I finally got hands on a cheap Heller T-28 Trojan/Fennec from evilbay.
And I got another 1:72 MPM He 100 for the stash - the Special Hobby kit is much better, but the MPM kit has potential.

From Fenwicks in Newcastle, new tool Airfix 1/72 Stuka   ;D Not on display as it has just arrived, sales assistant asked if I needed help and when I asked he went and got it from the storeroom

First glance looks very nice.

Nose is separate so might be a latter version on the cards. Two seats, one plain intended for pilot the other with moulded seat belts, not seen these on an Airfix kit before ? So plain seat will suit aftermarket or tape belts. Canopy is provided with middle section open or closed but might be fun painting frames on open version ? I'll find out when I get one.

All round looks
Decals my @r$e!

My first addition for this year. Despite the fact it was paid for as a pre order last August, from Coopers models. Who appears to have disappeared on line recently.

1/72nd Akatombo Blackburn B20.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Its amazing how tiring a show actually is even when its a local one

Be interesting what you come up with for the Alouette III, as it certainly has whif potential, especially with a Sci-Fi twist.

Think it's more a matter of the getting up early... ;D

I thought the Alouette might be good for an RAF-in'-Nam FAC aircraft based on a Strikemaster with a helo cabin front end, but it turns out it's too wide (the original idea of a Gazelle is too narrow), so it's got no plan ATM. Interestingly, it's exactly the same width as a Dauphin, and since 'everybody knows' that the early Dauphins were  way different from most of them, that raises the possibility of a JMN-baiting 'Dauphin prototype' model...

Another nice thing is that it has two engine options (SA316 & SA319). Since I already have a complete version of the kit, that means that however I build it up, I'll have three spare engines, with two of them identical.

Now you've got TWO Seamasters? Wow..........  :o
Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Id say keep with the RAF/AAC FAC idea.
Give it the Dauphin main rotor set up. And rig it up like a Rhodesian gunship set up, they used either twin 303's or a single 20mm out of the side door.
I always hope for the best.
