Well, still fighting for a solution for my AA gun problem.
Did a few tests to 3D print something, but i must admidt, there is no chance with the kind of printer I have. It's too tiny to print.

So at least, I continued with the air wing, adding a few more and putting decals on them:

Some paint has been added to the CV, hull and hangar structure:

And work continues on the island, adding some 2cm AA guns:

Fantastic work.  What is your 3d printer set up?  Think I need one......

I use an Anycubic Mega, which is a quite good one under €400. At least this is what several reviews said before I got it. Keep in mind that this printing technology (FDM) has its limits when doing very small parts. For example, I cannot print some little 2cm AA guns in 1/700 scale with it. If you want to make such small things, a Resin printer is better, but they are more expensive and a bit more messy when working with them.

Those printers like mine are quire cheap in running costs, 1kg of filament is 20-25€ and you can print a lot of stuff with it. And besides scale models, I could use it for some other useful things here at home as well.

The boats have been added to the boat deck - this is a bit like on a Japanse carrier:

I now found a solution for the AA guns, a Revell Bisamarck and Tirpitz kit had to be used for the parts (I wonder that i should not make with those two models.... calles for another What-If)

10,5 cm and 2cm single mounts

10,5 cm and 3,7cm double mounts

2cm Flakvierling

Heavily armoured V.1 launch ship or a tender and launch vessel for the smaller types of submarine ?

Or a V2 launch ship.
Launching them from tubes like on a missile sub.

That had crossed my mind, but I hadn't thought of the launch tube part.

Well, I now have a Tripitz and a Bismarck left over. The Tirpitz is already planned, but for the Bismarck, I have to see. Hmm, maybe a cruise ship as they are so popular today..... :)

Regarding the missile launcher & missile tubes - -I already did something like this with the Petropavlovsk already:

I was thinking you could have missile silos in place of the turrets.  Four vertical tubes in each silo, so 16 V2 in total could be launched before resupply was needed.

V2 is a big beast. Would it fit vertically? Maybe some horizontal “hangar” below the armour belt and then rotate to vertical for launch? Similar to the mobile launch system.

Finally, hangar and flight deck have been put togeter.

I had to add a few PE crew memeber before that as they are on positions where I cannot add them after both parts are put together. There is still some masking tape on the lfight deck, hope that the painted deck looks good after removing it.

V2 is 14m tall.  Draft (waterline to bottom of hull, yes?) of The Bismarck was 9.3m.  I can't find any measurements from the waterline to the main deck but looking at this picture I would estimate it to be sufficient that a V2 stood on a small launching platform would not protrude above the deck.  Just.
