Post by: Tophe on April 03, 2019, 10:04:38 pm
I have heard of VG Concorde, RAF Concorde in camo colours, but today for a love story I wrote I have invented the twin-boom Concorde:

That would be some seriously strong shockwaves between the fuselages! Might want some reinforcement to the airframe in that area.
That's a wild looking ride!

That'd make a heck of a good diorama with the Arrow hooked up to the Concorde.

I've got a 1/72 Concorde and a couple of Robert's re-popped vacform Arrows too.

But I'd need a double size model room to build it in!  :o

Ahem, yes I have a tendency to see double tails but not necessary double noses, three bodies could work as well (P-38-like) ;)

Our friend Vostok7 built a Twin-Concorde model, see https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/airfixtributeforum/2012-civil-aircraft-gb-vostoc7-s-concorde-t32076-s60.html (and a X-wing Concorde, and 2 RAF Concordes)...

On the normal Concorde, do you know why the wing is in low position? It is simple: a high wing would require long/fragile lateral landing gears. But on the Twin-Concordes, the lateral landing gears are simply in the fuselages (like in the Twin-Mustang) so the wing can be in high position:

but as drawing, not as plastic model there :-\

Far less cute than the egg-Concorde above were the Double-Concordes (with 2 fuselages close to one another and a single tilting nose, either monoplane laterally or biplane vertically): monsters? No order came for them... :-\

The Concorde team said the Tupolev Tu-144 was a bad copy, butů the idea of installing canards was maybe a good one, so they tried to copy back:
